Terms and conditions
  1. The “Fun School Life with Pentel®” Contest is open to all citizens of Malaysia, except employees and the immediate family members of Pentel (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (Pentel Malaysia), its associate companies, distributors, and advertising and sales/ promotions agencies (the Organizers).
  2. Participants who fail to comply with the terms & conditions of “Fun School Life with Pentel®” Contest will be disqualified.
    All voting of “LIKE”s in the Contest are valid through the Pentel Malaysia Facebook only.
    Likes received through the participants’ own homepage via Facebook/ Instagram or any other method, are Invalid.
  3. Participants are to provide all required information in order to take part in this contest. Required information includes name, contact number, email address, home address, and proof of purchase/Receipt(s).
  4. Right of Publicity
    Pentel Malaysia and the contest officials do not take responsibility for any violation of the right of publicity towards the participants of and in this Contest. Where the consent of third party is required in order to apply for this Contest, such consent must be obtained prior to submitting the application. In the event any conflict(s) is/are encountered with the third party after the application has been made and/or after photographs have already been submitted in the Contest, it is the responsibility of the participants themselves to resolve any such conflict(s), and shall not involve/affect other parties.
  5. Rework of Photographs
    The submitted photographs which have been determined by the Contest officials to be heavily modified, specially processed, and/or synthesized by an imaging software, or etc., shall not be assessed in the Contest. However the Contest officials may in their discretion allow the participants to make certain modifications and/or trimming to the photographs, provided that the original composition of the photograph is not altered.
  6. Copyright/Licensing
    Photographs submitted for this Contest are limited to those, for which all the relevant copyrights and consents have been obtained at the time of application and for the usage in this Contest. The participants shall submit the relevant written consent to show proof of copyright for the submitted photographs. Photographs submitted without the relevant copyright and written consent shall automatically be disqualified.

    The license to use the photographs for this Contest shall be given to Pentel Malaysia and the contest officials. The contest officials may use the photographs, for the purpose of promotions and advertisements, in various medias such as TV, newspapers, magazines, and the internet/social networking sites, and printed works such as photograph portfolios, photograph exhibitions, etc. In addition, the photographs (and their titles) for application submitted via internet may be used partially, irrespective as to whether the participants have been selected as winners or not, on the contest advertising sites and the contest officials’ website. In such event, the photographs shall and may be posted and/or reposted on social networking sites such as Facebook and be accessed by the public.
  7. Duplicate Application
    The participants are not allowed to use or submit photographs that have been selected in any other contests.Participants who submit such photographs will not be allowed to further participate in the Contest. In the event such photograph has been found by the contest officials to be selected in this Contest, such selection will immediately be disqualified.
  8. Private Information/Photographs for Application
    The contest officials shall delete and discard the photographs and private information submitted by the participants upon completion/conclusion of the Contest. However the submitted photographs will not be returned back.

    By participating in this Contest and providing the required information, all participants are consenting for Pentel Malaysia to process the information provided in accordance with the Personnal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
  9. Others
    • This Contest shall be exclusively managed by Pentel Malaysia and the contest officials.
    • Pentel Malaysia and the contest officials shall be able to modify the terms and conditions if needed, and take all the necessary measures to ensure proper management of the Contest.
    • The participants shall obey and comply the contest officials’ management in this Contest and shall not make any objections against the management method and decisions.
    • Pentel Malaysia and the contest officials shall not be responsible for any harm and/or damage caused by the use of the relevant sites for this Contest.
    • The participants shall cooperate with Pentel Malaysia and the contest officials in advertising ‘Pentel Malaysia’ as messengers, when requested.
    • The contest officials reserve all rights to substitute the contest prizes with other prizes of equal value without giving any reason and/or prior notification.
    • Prizes from the Contest are not exchangeable for cash, credit or items of any kind and are not transferable.
    • Private information provided in the contest application form is used for the activities of this Contest and Pentel Malaysia campaign only.
  10. The “Fun School Life with Pentel®” Contest starts on 1 October 2017 and ends on 28 February 2018
  11. Participants may:
    1. Submit an entry accompanied with photo copy of the proof of purchase (copy of Receipt) of any purchase of “Fun School Life with Pentel®” Contest Value Pack items in a single receipt before the contest ends; or either wise Incomplete entry will be disqualified.
    2. Participants may send in the entries as many rounds as they wish before the contest ends. All Receipts must be issued between 1 October 2017 – 28 February 2018. Pentel Malaysia reserves its right to disqualify any entry with forged or counterfeited proof of purchase or those that have been issued before and/or after 1 October 2017 – 28 February 2018.
  12. There are two types of winners:
    • 13 Top Most Likes Page winner (Winners), and
    • First 100 entries.

    1. The Winners will be selected based on 1st – 13rd MOST Likes Page and creativity demonstrated in their “Fun SNOW Selfie with Pentel® Momo” photos and no correspondence will be entertained.
    2. The participants can win two types of prizes and winners are eligible to win both the first 100 entries prize and one of the top prizes. (See details of the prizes in Clause14).
  13. There are two steps for the entry submission of “Fun School Life with Pentel®” Contest: Step 1: Purchase any Pentel Back to School Value Pack Items in single receipt. Step 2: Take a creative photo of Pentel products (e.g. Pentel Product with art / books / foods or in writing/ drawing). Step 3: Tag 5 friends and hashtag #pentelmalaysia at the comment section of contest post. Step4: Submit your details, click contest link: https://contests.pentel.com.my/2017funschool/ (Participants must submit the entry in our Facebook at comment section of contest post (https://www.facebook.com/pentelmalaysia)
  14. Prizes are as follows:

    Top 13 Prizes:
    1. 3 prizes x Top 1st – 3rd ranking of Most Likes Page: ice-watch BMW MOTORSPORT silicone collection watch (worth RM529) + Pentel Stationery set (worth RM200) ➔ Total worth RM729.00
    2. 5 prizes x Top 4th – 8th ranking of Most Likes Page: Danny Bear Jeans Bear Series Shoulder / Back Bag (worth RM229.90) + Pentel Stationery set (worth RM150) ➔ Total worth RM379.90
    3. 5 prizes x Top 9th – 13rd ranking of Most Likes Page: Danny Bear Jeans Bear Series Clutch Bag (RM59.90) + Pentel Stationery Set (RM100) ➔ Total worth RM159.90
      4. First 100 Entries Prizes:
    4. 100 x First 100 entries will get a Limited Edition of Pentel Kawaii+2 Energel Retractable Gel Pens (worth RM35)
  15. Top winners and First 100 entries winners will be notified by email / Facebook messager and the prizes will be send by Poslaju. Top 13 winners will be announced through the Pentel Malaysia Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/pentelmalaysia). The grace period for compiling of results is 60 days. Prizes must be claimed within 45 days from date of notification. Claims made after the date of notification will not be entertained.
  16. Top 13 Winners’ prizes will be send by Poslaju. If a request is made by any Winner for the prize to be couriered to him/her, courier charges shall be the sole responsibility of the said Winner. Pentel Malaysia and its related entities bear no responsibility in the event of loss, damage or misplaced prizes while in transit. No compensation will be given.
  17. Pentel Malaysia reserves all rights to amend, modify, extend or terminate “Fun SNOW Selfie with Pentel® Momo” Contest in any way deemed appropriate, in response to the events beyond its control. No prior notice will be given.

  20. By participating, the participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the decisions of Pentel Malaysia.
  21. Pentel Malaysia reserves the absolute discretion to amend the Terms & Conditions at any time.
  22. In the event there are any inconsistencies between the English version and Bahasa Malaysia version of the Terms & Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
